A standard 52-card deck, four players with 13 cards each. Rank order runs 2 (highest), A, K, Q, J, 10 … 3 (lowest); ties between equal ranks are broken by suit — ♠ highest, then ♥, ♣, and ♦ lowest. That makes 2♠ the strongest card and 3♦ the weakest.
Play runs on two channels: small combinations (single, pair, triple) and five-card hands (straight, flush, full house, four of a kind plus a kicker, straight flush). A play is beaten only by a stronger play with the same number of cards. The 3♦ holder leads first and the 3♦ must be part of that first play. First to empty their hand wins.
Five-card hands form their own channel — a stronger type beats any weaker type:
